Get to know KFM

Born and raised in the Twin Cities, I have always been inspired by thoughtful design. Minnesota’s beautiful four seasons and ten thousand lakes have encouraged me to design using a range of colors, patterns and textures, weaving each season into a comfy, cohesive experience. With that as my backdrop and a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, I've been able to lay a solid foundation of technical skill and an eye for balanced and visually stimulating aesthetics in my career as a designer.

With twelve years of experience specializing in furniture and flooring installation, I’ve honed my expertise in every phase of the process—from take-offs and sample submittals to 3D perspectives, contract execution, and project management. My eye for detail and proven systems have contributed to a diverse range of successful projects.

My passion extends beyond traditional, modern or luxury design, I'm also invested in family compound concepts, age-in-place solutions, and smart home integration, crafting spaces that evolve with the people who live in them. I've seen the power of design enhance quality of life; my goal is to ensure homes are not only stylish but also adaptive, sustainable, and creatively personal.

As a dedicated industry professional, I’m an active member and volunteer of esteemed organizations such as ASID, RESA, Habitat for Humanity & Joy Collaborative continuously expanding my knowledge and network. I’ve also enriched my leadership and business acumen through specialized programs, including the Minority Contractor Business Development (MCBD) with JeDunn and the AGC Leadership "Blueprint" with the Association of General Contractors.

Beyond design, I enjoy being social with family, friends and peers, I'm a huge "fun fact" nerd, lifelong learner, and an earth-friendly advocate who approaches life with patience and humility. I’m a proud mother of three boys, any Minnesota sports team fan, and someone who finds time for good food, music, and movies.
